Introducing Harunision
There are some groups you don’t expect, that, from the first song you hear, immediately grab you. Songs you play on loop on Spotify or YouTube without thinking, and that stick with you through long school or workdays. You even forget to dig deeper, as these few melodies are enough to give your adrenaline a boost for a while.
Then, with another click, more clips and concerts appear. The second click, this time on the “follow” button, happens naturally. Discovering a group, where a few faces already match familiar melodies so perfectly, instantly adds a sparkle to your eyes, like completing a thousand-piece puzzle. Fate persists, and you realize it all started just a few months ago. That’s when a smile forms: you’re almost certain you can comfortably hop on the train already in motion.

Today, we’re talking about Harunision (ハルニシオン).
Planting in Winter, Blooming in Spring
On January 5, 2015, the group introduced itself on Twitter with an image of small white flowers and a view of Tokyo’s quiet streets, announcing from the start a first concert on February 15 in Tokyo, even before revealing its lineup.
They used this period to introduce each member one by one through social media.
Interesting fact: they all come from different idol groups.

Represents the color yellow. Former HKT48 member.
From Saga Prefecture, she is highly skilled at dancing, even though she started only three years ago. - Serizawa Kokoro (芹沢心色) [X]
Represents the color red. Former Ice Nuts (あいすなっつ) member.
From Tokyo Prefecture, she plays a bit of electric guitar, enjoys visiting cafés, and trying new snacks. - Kurumi Toi (来海とい) [X]
Represents the color green. Former Sharply♯ member.
From Chiba Prefecture, she loves saunas, relaxing “while watching the earth rotate,” and bending her arm in unusual ways. An interesting character so far! - Ruka Nagahama (長浜瑠花) [X]
Represents the color violet. Former Fancy Dreamy (ふぁんしーどりーみー) member.
From Miyagi Prefecture, she loves watching cat videos on YouTube and can eat lemons without making a face. - Murase Yuuna (村瀬ゆうな) [X]
Represents the color pink. Former Gunjou no Sekai (群青の世界) member.
From Ibaraki Prefecture, she recently started eating natto, has basic bass skills, can manage drawing, and is good at “nega-posi conversion” (turning negatives into positives). - Fukuma Ayane (福間彩音) [X]
Represents the color light blue. Former EMuLate member.
From Shimane Prefecture, she enjoys reading novels and photography, often taking spontaneous photos of the members.
Harunision takes its name from a species of flowering plant, the Philadelphia fleabane.
[...] the group’s atmosphere was built around the language of this flower. [...] Over the course of our activities, I believe precious moments will multiply; we want to create such moments together and cherish the idea that “if the present exists, it’s thanks to everything that came before.”

グループ名の由来となっているのは「ハルジオン」という花で、ハルジオンの花言葉などを中心にグループの雰囲気が作られています。[…] 活動を通して大切な瞬間が増えていくと思います。[…] みんなでそうした瞬間を作り、「今までがあるから今がある」ということを大切にしています。ハルジオンは春に咲く花なので、春をお届けできるような楽曲とパフォーマンスをしています！
By the time the members had been introduced one by one, their first live was already sold out, just 11 days after the announcement!
Fukuma Ayane had been genuinely worried about the challenge of performing in such a large venue, but like everything they’ve tackled so far, it turned into a real success with a full house.
In short, Harunision sparked an unprecedented hype, foreshadowing a series of milestones reached at lightning speed.
We won’t stop at the impression of our debut live; in all future performances, we aim to surpass that day with every show.

Barely two months after their debut, they were already on a tour of five major cities from February 15 to May 31, 2025: Nagoya, Osaka, Sendai, Fukuoka, and finally Tokyo.
How can this meteoric rise be explained?
Harmony & Understanding Between Experienced Members
One explanation could lie in the group’s composition, in several respects.
In Harunision, none of the members has an assigned role or an official leader; instead, a natural balance takes precedence and drives them forward. This balance has shown that Murase Yuuna, not as a leader but as a mediator, naturally brings together and organizes the ideas of the others—a role that is both essential and intuitive.
What unites them is also a shared history.
All former idols in other groups, they already had habits and experience from the start, allowing them to settle in quickly. When they talk about their songs (Gradation, Onso Ku Shoujo, Yoake Wo Aizu Ni Shite), they always reference a connection between their personal journeys and the lyrics.
This shared experience strengthens their ability to collectively convey emotion on stage.
At first, the barrier I felt came from the fact that, even though we were all experienced idols, we had grown up in different environments. I wondered how to unify these diverse mindsets. That worry quickly vanished: each member was fully aware of her own strengths and also had the ability to adapt quickly. […] From the very beginning, all the members had already grasped Harunision’s image and appeal upon joining the project. I believe this is also why our cohesion formed so rapidly.
最初に感じた壁が、「みんなアイドル経験者だけど、それぞれ異なる環境で自分を培ってきたから、そこの意識をどう一つにしていくか」でした。その心配もすぐに消えたといいますか、一人一人が自分の強みをしっかり自覚したうえで集まっているから、すぐ柔軟に対応していく力を持っていました。[...] メンバーみんな、最初からハルニシオンのイメージや魅力をつかんで加入しています。だから、まとまるのが早かったのかなとも、わたしは感じています。
Now we know their success came quickly, and one might think this could create tension or stress for these young girls. Yet conflicts are extremely rare; interactions take place in a calm atmosphere where every word is respected.
The pressure is real and intense, given the expectations from both staff and the industry. But for Kurumi Toi, there’s no need to worry.
This group is truly made up of kind-hearted people. On the surface, we may seem lighthearted, but each member has a strong will and her own vision of the idol she wants to be. I sometimes feel the pressure of expectations, but I know I can rely on these five members and fulfill my role seriously alongside them.
本当に優しい子ばかりが集まったグループです。表面上は確かにふわふわっと見えていますけど、それぞれ芯の強い気持ちがあるといいますか、自分なりに目指し、求めるアイドル像を持って活動をしています。私も期待というプレッシャーを感じることがありますけど、この5人なら共に支えあっていけるし、自分の役割をしっかりと全うしていけると感じながら活動が出来ています。
Meaningful & Impactful Quality Songs
Or is it simply thanks to their excellent songs?
Let’s be clear: this was the very first thing that struck us at Bonjour Idol, the “wow” factor from the first listen of アノソラヘ (Ano Sora e), for example, which quickly became our favorite thanks to a chorus overflowing with energy.
Absolutely incredible!
They already have around ten songs to their name, thanks to the release of a mini-album on April 30, 2025.
It’s worth highlighting the high quality and diversity of these tracks, as well as their strong emotional significance for the members.
For example, 夜明けを合図にして (Yoake Wo Aizu ni Shite), which for Murase Yuuna, symbolizes their debut.
This song, in particular, represents a “vision” the group wants to convey.
According to Murase Yuuna, Harunision’s concept is “a flower that blooms and changes the seasons.” If the five songs from the first mini-album suit spring, then Yoake Wo Aizu ni Shite corresponds to winter, the season that comes before.
Our shared experiences of pain and hardship feed into this song. It can be seen as “Episode 0,” preceding the first mini-album. […] Each of us made the decision to leave something behind to join this group, which allows us to pour genuine emotion into this song. It’s probably the track where we’ve been able to reach the greatest depth of expression.
みんなが同じ気持ちで活動が出来ているのも、みんなが同じような苦しい気持ちを味わってきたからだと思います。[…] デビュー曲の“ハルニシオン”にも、つらさや葛藤を書いていましたけど、それをもっと深掘りしたのが“夜明けを合図にして”なんです。この曲は1stミニアルバムへと繋がる、映画でいう“エピソード0”のような楽曲だし、私たちも、そういう気持ちで歌っています。
We could also talk about “Gradation”, linked above, an equally important and excellent song from their debut, which also lends its name to their first tour.
Centered on the theme of high school, it provides encouragement and emotion to the members, especially during live performances, where some can’t help but shed a few tears…
Harunision has very strong songs, and the members are well aware of it.
However, they don’t intend to stop there as they all hope to be equally recognized for their stage performances.
What makes me especially happy is hearing audience members at every concert say, “Your songs are really good.” In the future, I hope people will also say, “Harunision has amazing voices and amazing performances.” To achieve that, I still need to improve my singing, and I continue to work hard.
特にうれしいのは、ライブのたびに『歌がすごくいいね』と言っていただけることです。これからは『ハルニシオンは歌やパフォーマンスがすごくいいね』と言ってもらえるようになりたい。そのためにも、まだまだ歌を磨いていかないといけないと思っています。
When Fans Speak Out
Harunision arrived like a small bomb in the industry and, of course, attracted a lot of attention.
Fans are buzzing everywhere, and we found a report that highlights the group’s strengths.
I discovered Harunision when a follower told me about a group that “sings really good songs.” From the very first listen, I had the feeling that this was an exceptional group. [...] Of course, their tracks available on streaming services or in music videos were already excellent. But seeing them live, I was captivated by the perfect balance between individuality, harmony, and discipline that radiates from the group.
The quality of their harmonies and unisons, the beauty of their overlapping voices, the energy of their stage choreography [...] All of it literally mesmerized me. [...] This is an idol group that clearly deserves full attention, and whose future activities are well worth following closely.

A Bright Future Ahead
After spring and their tour, summer brings the idol industry’s most important event: the Tokyo Idol Festival. Naturally, Harunision received an invitation to take part.
For a group only four months old, appearing at the world’s largest idol festival is an extraordinary and rare opportunity, drawing considerable attention within the industry.
Following that, a new concert is scheduled for September 17, their very first one-man live.
A young group already stepping into the big league, which, as Sayaka Baba admits, can be a bit overwhelming…
Four months since our debut: we’re moving at an incredible speed; honestly, there are moments when my feelings can’t keep up, but the truth is that I’m having a lot of fun and finding it very rewarding. I want to keep this feeling as it is and, heading into this summer and the September solo concert, give even more… I’ll give it my all!
デビューから4カ月、信じられないくらいのスピード感で進んできて、正直、気持ちが追いつけていない部分もあるんですけど、今すごく楽しくてやりがいを感じているのは事実なので、その気持ちをそのままに、この夏と9月のワンマンに向けて、もっともっと…頑張ります！
